To my father - A mio padre

I love and you're the love, I smile and you are my smile, I observe the world through your eyes. Sweet music of my soul in a sweet afternoon, can you, please, give me back the Spring? Where are your hands? And our hugs? Are you tired of my stories? Don't you want to know what I have studied, What I saw, what I ate? A sound comes unexpected, one voice among a thousand cries, I welcome you, like a storm surge on a sad and lonely beach. So you come back to me in every heartbeat, as if you never gone away.

Amo

e tu sei l'amore,

sorrido

e sei il mio sorriso,

osservo il mondo

attraverso i tuoi occhi.

Dolce musica della mia anima

in un pomeriggio di giochi spensierati,

puoi,

ti prego,

riportarmi la Primavera?

Dove sono le tue mani?

E i nostri abbracci?

Ti sei stancato dei miei racconti?

Non vuoi sapere cosa ho studiato,

cosa ho visto, cosa ho mangiato?

Un suono giunge inaspettato,

una voce tra mille grida,

ti accolgo all'improvviso,

onda di tempesta

su una spiaggia triste e solitaria.

Così mi ritorni in ogni battito,

come se non fossi mai partito.
